[S9E14]: Armani-geddon II: Katarina’s Revenge (Part 2/2)
(THIS IS PART 2/2)
The episode opens back up after a commercial
The scene opens open with shots of Joshua Tree.
We see an extravagant party set up in the middle of the desert. The camera pans to Valentina as she puts on a big smile and begins greeting guests as they arrive.
“Tonight is our annual Armani extravaganza out in Joshua Tree. I’ve been out here for spiritual retreats so I hope the land of the valley can bring everyone some serenity including my mother because it’s been hell trying to get this party planned.”
The camera pans to Monsè and Gil as they arrive, hand in hand.
They greet a nearby couple before walking further under the canopy.
Gil: “Are we really doing this tonight?” He whispers and fakes a smile as they pass another couple.
Monsè: “Let’s just get through it with as little drama as possible, okay?”
The couple perk up as they approach Valentina who now has Brandon by her side.
Monsè: “Hey Val! Oh my god you look gorgeous, and this party?! I think you may have outdone last year. And Brandon, handsome as ever!” She hugs both of them.
Brandon: “Monsè you look beautiful as ever!” He chuckles.
Valentina: “The budget was higher than last years babe! We are doing it big this year. I decided why not have one big extravaganza to kick off the summer!” She winks and puts her arm around Monsè’s waist.
Monsè: “I know that’s right, hunni! Nothing screams Armani like an extravagant party!”
The camera pans to Brandon and Gil.
Brandon: “Gil! My brother!” He shakes his hand and gives him a side hug. “It’s good to see you here!”
The camera follows Violette as she walks into the party with Jean-Luc.
Jean-Luc: “Oh, babe. This is actually kind of nice!”
Violette: “ It is! Who would’ve thought a random party in the middle of the desert would be chic?” She looks around, impressed.
Right behind them, Olivia and Brandon walk in holding hands.
“After my talk with Serena, I decided to come to the event. You know, not everyone is perfect and everyone deserves a couple of chances to get it right.” She laughs. “Yvonne and Valentina, I’m looking for you two!”
Olivia: “If I cut my eyes at you, let’s head out, babe.” She laughs and squeezes Brandon’s arm.
Brandon: “You got it, babe. I’m going to go get a drink at the bar. I’ll grab Jean-Luc.”
The camera goes back to the group of Valentina, Monsè, Gil, and Brandon as Violette, Jean-Luc, Olivia, and Brandon join.
Brandon Armani: “Gil come with me to the bar! Is that Jean Luc?”
Valentina: “Yes that’s Jean Luc and Violette! Hi Olivia, and Violette welcome to our annual extravaganza desert style this year! “
Olivia: “Thanks for the invitation.” She smiles.
Valentina: “You’re welcome. I’m hoping at some point tonight you and I can talk, but I want to get through the activities first.” She laughs
Olivia gives Valentina a look; then Valentina turns to the group.
Valentina: “Why don’t the men head to the bar?”
Gil: “Perfect! I could use a drink. Hey, I don’t think we’ve met, Jean-Luc. I’m Gil, Monsè’s husband.”
We see the husbands all head to the nearby bar together. The camera pans to show Yvonne and Horace walking in together.
Yvonne: “This is beautiful.” She looks around.
Yvonne and Horace walk over to the group of ‘Wives.
Monsè: “There’s the happy couple, finally!”
Yvonne: “Hey Monsè. You look ready for Dubai!”
Monsè: “Oh, thanks Yvonne. I think that’s the nicest thing you’ve said to me all year. You look stunning babe!” She laughs.
Valentina: “Horace, it’s good to see you again.” She hugs him. “Go join the men at the bar! They are better than us women!” She playfully hits him. “Yvonne you look like a million bucks!” She hugs Yvonne.
Yvonne: “Thank you, you look beautiful.” She smiles at Valentina and then turns to Horace. “Run along, Horace. MOCKTAILS only though.”
Valentina: “Let him get a little whiskey in him Yvonne! It won’t hurt!”
We see Horace scurry off to join the husbands at the bar. Serena and Michael are then seen walking in, holding hands.
Serena: “Ahh this is so beautiful. Hope this has given you some ideas babe.”
Michael: “It’s very nice.” He looks around. “I’ll take inspiration.” He chuckles.
Valentina: “There’s Serena and Michael! Hello gorgeous couple!”
Olivia goes up and gives Serena a hug.
Olivia: “Gorgeous girl!”
Serena: “Hello hello ladies!! Nice to see all of you. Val, this is so beautiful.”
Michael: “Hello ladies. Nice to see you all again.” He smiles.
Valentina: “Michael the men are at the bar doing shot for shot if you want to join them! No drama over there.” She laughs.
Michael goes off to the bar, the camera focuses back on the group of ‘Wives.
Olivia: “Yvonne, can we have a chat? Over there?” She points to a seating area.
The group goes silent as they all look to Yvonne for her response.
Yvonne: “What happened to hello?” She looks confused. “I suppose we can though.” She raises an eyebrow.
Olivia: “I smiled at you, that was my hello. Let’s go and sit over there where the fan is blowing.” She laughs.
The scene follows Olivia and Yvonne as they make their way to the seating area and settle in.
Servers immediately come and offer them both drinks.
Server: “The Val-tini? Our signature drink of the night.”
Yvonne: “Of course.” She laughs. “I’ll take it.”
The scene settles on the two ‘Wives as they sit across from one another.
Olivia: “Let’s just get to it. Yvonne, where is the new found hatred for me coming from? You brought me back in this circle for what? To turn on me while those women were out at Coachella?” She shakes her head. “Tell me why.”
“The deterioration of Yvonne and I’s friendship in my eyes started at my home when she began to disrespect me and my husband.
I need to know why. Why is she so hell bent on not being my friend anymore?”
Yvonne lets out a laugh.
Yvonne: “Is that how you see it? I feel this started because you took it hard that I stated my opinion about Violette — “
Yvonne: “You then decided to take digs and it hasn’t stopped.” She takes a sip of her drink.
“I’m not playing this game with Olivia. I didn’t start with her, she started with me over a nobody she met five minutes ago.”
Olivia: “To me, our issues started with your disrespect to my marriage in my own home. It’s as if you woke up that morning and decided to come for me. What did I do to you prior to that to deserve that treatment?”
Yvonne: “What did I say about your marriage?” She squints.
Olivia: “You’ve repeatedly attacked my husband — a man who has never disrespected you and a man who is quite fond of Horace. It’s quite disgusting, Yvonne.”
“I am not sure why Yvonne is pretending to have amnesia. I don’t mind bringing her up to speed if her memory is blurry; I know that comes with age.”
Yvonne: “Well I apologize for speaking on what I’ve heard about him. I understand that it can be damaging but you’re not going to slither out of accountability.” She flips her hair. “You have disrespected my husband on multiple occasions who has been nothing but kind to you. So it’s not one-sided, girl.”
Olivia: “NO! You won’t do that. You haven’t heard anything. You made it up and sent your pay by the hour attack dog assistant to do your dirty work!”
We get a shot of Yvonne narrowing her eyes at Olivia.
“The nerve of this woman to gaslight me as if saying I’ve heard things about how she and Brandon treat employees is an attack on her marriage. Give me a break!”
Yvonne: “I’m not going to take accountability for what Victoria, who’s not my assistant, said about you. That is an issue between you and her- I have never spoke negatively of you or Brandon to her or anybody.”
Olivia: “Your actions led to my reaction which was to attack back. Did I say things that were unkind about Horace? Absolutely and I do feel bad and I can apologize to you for that….but you have to understand you picked this fight with me and I am not one of these little girls who you can play with.”
Yvonne: “I won’t accept this narrative.” She shakes her head.
Olivia: “The lies you spew and have fabricated on my husbands business were things she parroted. You did that. Own it! You brought this bullshit to light. You did it for this!” She points to a camera, breaking the 4th wall. “A multi year friendship down the drain because you needed a storyline! Pathetic.” She looks at Yvonne.
Yvonne: “Stop with the storyline stuff.” She rolls her eyes. “You’re still bringing up someone who hasn’t been been around us in two months.” She swats at Olivia dismissively. “If you want to fall out over this petty mess, then let’s fall out but you should know by now that I don’t need anyone to do my dirt- if I planned to bury you, you’d see the shovel in my hand.”
Olivia: “Oh get real. You need a reality check, diva. You know I have never played these games with you and I won’t do it. You could never bury me!” She laughs and begins getting up. “I will always be 10 steps ahead of you.” She smirks at Yvonne. “This conversation is over, Yvonne. I’ll see you around.” She waves and begins strutting away.
Yvonne still sits in the seat and shakes her head in disbelief.
Yvonne: “This girl really is crazy!” She laughs.
“I am so disappointed in Olivia. I’ve known her for twenty years and the behavior she’s exhibited in this conversation is off- I hope everything’s okay at home.” She raises an eyebrow.
The scene switches to Valentina and Serena as they come off the dance floor together.
Serena: “Girl, I need another drink!”
Valentina: “Girl, me too!”
The two ‘Wives head to the bar, get a drink, and take a step slightly outside the canapoy so they can talk.
Serena: “Val! How are you, baby? This party is so damn gorgeous!”
Valentina: “My girl, Serena!” She grabs her hands. “Isn’t it crazy how life works sometimes?”
Serena nods.
Serena: “Last year we were talking and almost came to blows. This year I’m excited to see you all of the time. Life is crazy!” She laughs. “You are one of the greatest friends I’ve ever met in my adult life!”
Valentina smiles and nods along.
Valentina: “Here we are today dare I say thick as thieves! My dancing partner, my shot taker. You are just so full of life and I love you for it!”
Serena: “Thick as thieves!” She chuckles and hugs Valentina.
“Val and I went from throwing drinks to throwing parties together. I’m sooo grateful that we have made such beautiful progress. That’s my sister for sure!”
“Serena has really became a dear friend of mine. She has shown up for me in times I’ve needed her to and she’s really had my back in moments she didn’t have to necessarily have my back. She’s proven to me she’s a girls girl and I hate we even went through what we did.”
Serena: “How is the home life now since momma Kat?” She sips her drink and looks at Val. “That lady is a whole lot!! Is Brandon still giving you a hard time?”
Valentina: “Oh god it was a whole ordeal when he got home that night that we decorated the house for the date. He pretty much expressed to me that he can’t bear the thought of her staying with us any longer.” She sighs.
The camera pans to Katarina a few tables away, watching Valentina and Serena talk.
Valentina: “But, it’s been hell lately in the Armani house. It was a whole thing about her coming tonight. I thought Brandon was going to divorce me if I brought her.”
Serena: “Oh my gosh.” She puts her head in her hands. “ I can’t tell you what to do because this is your life, your marriage and your mom… but I will say- if this can be a situation that’s fixed, do it. Don’t mess up your marriage because of momma. Even if that means she has to live somewhere else. Of course she’d still be looked after.”
“One thing Michael and I have been very good at is respecting each other’s boundaries. I know that I can’t just have my family lounging around our house. And he isn’t going to have his family longing at our house. It’s a respect thing. And I truly believe Val isn’t getting that aspect. And as her friend, I have to tell my friend the truth.”
Valentina: “I just know if I kick my mom out that’s the end of her and I’s relationship and she still has complete control over my father’s trust and all his finances and inheritance. It sucks because that monthly check I get from his trust is not something I can really afford to lose right now especially why I’m trying to build my dance studio up.”
Serena: “Oh wow. I get it now. You definitely need a conversation with all parties to get an understanding of what’s happening. And how you can better strategize your relationship with them going forward. You deserve a fully happy life. And don’t allow anyone to make you feel bad for the decisions you decide to make for your life.”
Valentina lays her head on Serena’s shoulder.
Valentina: “I’m just frustrated Serena if I can be truthful with you that neither of the two most important people in my life can get along for the sake of me. I haven’t been eating like I should. I’ve been so stressed. It’s just been a lot on my plate. I want to live this perfect life but it’s all crumbling down.”
Serena rubs Valentina’s back.
Serena: “I can only imagine baby girl. You know I’m here with you. My momma use to tell me, sometimes God will bring destruction to an old thing so that new flowers can bloom. So bloom baby! However that looks for you. Embrace it! You are a bad ass woman! Wife! Mother! All of the above! And you are loved, valued and appreciated.”
Valentina: “I love you Serena, more than you know!” She hugs her and wipes a tear.
The scene now switches to Monsè who is at a bar in the middle of the party.
Violette and Jean-Luc begin making their way over to Monsè as she starts to leave the bar.
Monsè: “Oh, Lord…” She mumbles and sips her drink.
Jean-Luc walks over and places his hand on Monsè’s back.
Jean-Luc: “Monsè” He nods and greets her. “You look pleasant, tonight. You have a moment to talk?”
Monsè shudders at Jean-Luc’s touch.
Monsè: “ Let’s keep our hands to ourselves. Don’t want any more ‘misunderstandings’.” She raises an eyebrow. “But if we have to…” She nods.
We see Violette stand behind Jean-Luc, silent.
“Jean Luc asked me if it would be okay if he could have a conversation with Monse tonight and I allowed it. He’s human and has his own feelings towards her, so he can handle what he needs to.”
Jean-Luc: “Classy. I wouldn’t touch you with a 10ft pole. You’re no Violette.”
Monsè: “I am very classy, thank you. I don’t run around hitting on young girls like you.” She smirks.
Monsè, Jean-Luc, and Violette walk over to a nearby by table
“With everything going on in the group and at home, I just want to have a fun night. I don’t need drama with anyone in the group let alone someone’s man, so..” She whips her finger. “Let’s wrap this up quick.”
Monsè: “What’s on your mind, Jean-Luc?” She crosses her legs and looks annoyed.
Jean-Luc: “I have quite an issue with you. Why did you feel like you just had to cause issues between my fiancé and I?”
Monsè: “I never meant to cause any issues. I think Violette deserves to know what kind of man she lies with every night. As you said, she’s SUCH a prize!”
Jean-Luc: “She is a prize! Absolutely! I think it’s odd you were so invested in our life. Why? You can’t be that naive, ma’am. You just met Violette a few months ago and wanted to throw a wrench in our 10+ year relationship. What did you have to gain?”
Monsè: “I have no investment in your life, believe me. I have enough going on at home.”
Jean-Luc: “It’s almost as if… as if you wanted Violette for yourself. Listen, I’m Canadian. I love all people. The LGBTQIA community included.”
Monsè’s jaw drops before she burts out laughing.
Monsè: “Oh my God! No! when I hear from a close friend that you’re going around town telling people you’re in an open relationship, I had to wonder why a stunning woman like Violette would agree to that.” She looks him up and down.
Jean-Luc: “You know what? You have absolutely zero clue what you’re talking about. You’re a complete idiot! Monsè, how about you STAY OUT OF MY FUCKING LIFE! Mind your business!”
Violette: “Oh, alright. Okay, okay. Let’s shelf this! I don’t want anyone getting upset.” She raises her hands.
The camera pans to Monsè who looks enraged, she jabs her finger in Jean-Luc’s direction.
Monsè: “Watch who the FUCK you’re talking to Jean Luc!!!” She jumps up and steps to Jean-Luc.
We get shots of nearby attendees looking over at the scene in shock. We see Gil realizing what’s going on as he collects food.
Gil: “Oh shit!”
Monsè stands over Jean-Luc before he can get up.
Monsè: “You should be worried about keeping your dick in your pants instead of coming after me for telling your fiancée the truth about you!!”
Violette: “Shhh, baby. Shhhh. Don’t say anything!” She pulls at Jean-Luc.
Jean-Luc: “You are- you know what? I’m done with you. Done. Done.” He begins getting up now.
Monsè: “Who the fuck is that little bitch?! Picking a fight with a woman?!” She walks off.
“I’ll be damned if I let a balding ass, insecure man intimidate me. Bring it on, bitch boy. You don’t want what I know out there.”
Jean-Luc begins yelling at Monsè as she walks away.
Jean-Luc: “Hey, Monsè, baby girl… how about you focus on making sure your husband doesn’t find another child bride and kicks you to the curb!”
Violette: “Babe! STOP!”
Monsè: “And make sure you don’t catch a case, messing with them young girls! Fucking loser. You can do way better Violette!” She yells back.
Jean-Luc: “Fucking bitch…” He mumbles.
“I don’t think Jean Luc needs to be talking to a woman like that. He doesn’t usually fly off the handle like this… but, he can lose his temper sometimes. I’m a girls girl and I wouldn’t just sit there and allow him to talk to another woman like this. Monsè is a bitch and she gets on my nerves, but… I still care about her.” She chuckles. “that’s what she gets for sticking her nose where it didn’t belong.”
The scene ends as Jean-Luc and Violette walk back into the party together as Violette rubs his back.
The ‘Wives all reconvine together in a seating area. Monsè lets out a loud sigh and fixes her hair.
Olivia: “Monsè, what went on over there?!”
Monsè: “Don’t you just hate it when men get involved in women’s business? I’ve handled it, Liv. Let’s just have a fun night.” She purses her lips and flicks her eyes in Violette’s direction.
Violette sips her drink and shrugs.
Valentina: “Well the Bongo twins are back in action!” She raises up her and Serena’s hands. “Is everyone enjoying the party?!”
Olivia: “I think it’s lovely.”
Valentina: “I think so too! Look — I’m a good hostess and I never want to make my guests feel uncomfortable so I’d like to address the elephant in the room, if I may.”
Olivia: “Do address, Val.” She nods.
Valentina: “Olivia I’m sincerely sorry I put a damper on your event in Paris. I know you worked hard on those pieces. I was being fed information about you and just wanted you to know what was being said about you. Did I go about it the wrong way, absolutely.”
Olivia: “I appreciate your apology. Look, I am here because I believe in giving women chances to make things right. I accept your olive branch, and hell I may even dance with you and Serena to bongos before the nights over!” She laughs.
Serena: “Yesss! Come on Bongos Trio!” She snaps. “That has made me feel so good!! We love makeups!”
Valentina: “I just want us to get back to what we were before you came back around this group. Me you and Monsè would have dinners when you would come to Beverly beach and even went to a few charity events together. I think we have some work to do but I believe it’s not beyond repair. Just a bump in the road.” She smiles.
Olivia: “Me too, Val.” She nods. “We will get there.”
Yvonne: “Well ladies, I’d like to do a toast!”
Valentina: “The floor is yours, Yvonne!”
Serena: “Come on lady Yvonne!”
Yvonne: “Does everyone have a glass?” She looks around.
Olivia: “Make it nice, Yvonne.” She raises an eyebrow and her champagne flute.
Valentina: “Let’s end this night on a good note please!”
Yvonne: “I want to raise the glass to us as a group. It’s been a rollercoaster ride but I’m happy to see a group of successful, powerful, influential, well-dressed women be able to come together and have a good time. So cheers to the Beverly Bitches tonight!” She laughs and raises a glass.
Monsè: “Cheers, ladies!”
Serena: “Cheers!”
“ I will say that I truly love hanging with this group of women. They all inspire me in some sort of way. They inspire me to work harder and some inspire me…to not be like them.” She laughs. “But I’m inspired! So with that being said, cheers sisters!”
Violette: “Cheers! To…friendship!”
Valentina: “I’ll cheers to the Beverly Bitches!! I love each and every one of you seriously! I believe sisterhood is present here today.”
“I do still think Valentina secretly put something in our drinks or drugged us earlier tonight… BUT, it must’ve been worth it. This moment right now is so peaceful, I wouldn’t change anything.” She smiles. “These ladies have taken me on a journey this season! I’ve learned a lot about them and myself included. I’ve learned that I may or may not be a catty bitch when provoked. I started this journey only knowing my good girlfriend, Olivia and I’m glad we didn’t let anything get in the way of us! Monsè is a slithering, slimy, nasty woman! But, I don’t know… I kind of have a soft spot for her.” She rolls her eyes. “My relationship with Jean Luc was the topic of everyone’s tongues and I think they’ll be shocked when they realize a few things soon.” She winks.
Monsè: “Whew! Val been drinking. Getting all sentimental on us babe!”
“This year has been one of the hardest I’ve faced yet. For my friendships, my business, and most of all my marriage. It’s been a wild roller coaster of emotions, but through the petty drama I’ve come out the other side with some pretty badass bitches to lean on. I don’t know what’s next for my business and my family, but at least I know I have a sisterhood to get me through it.”
Olivia: “Cheers, babies!” She laughs.
“It’s been such a fun ride being back in Beverly Beach. Restoring The Beach back to the class that it once had was one of my goals and I think I’ve succeeded for the most part — okay I said for the most part. Being back in the work room designing my own line and my husband getting the opportunity to see all my work come to fruition at Paris Fashion Week is one of my best accomplishments in my career. This group of women, while they have their flaws, I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.”
As the ‘Wives finish their ‘cheers’ the camera moves to show Valentina’s mother, Katarina, walking over and joining the group.
Katarina: “Val, are you not going to introduce your momma to your friends?”
Valentina: “Oh ya, come say hi! We just wrapped…Ladies this is my mom Katarina some of you have met her and some of you have heard me talk about her!”
Yvonne: “It’s nice to meet you, Katarina.” She nods as she stands to get her mic pack taken off.
Katarina: “Well Yvonne it’s nice to meet you too. Finally someone with some class.”
Olivia: “Hello Kat! Nice to meet you. May I call you Kat?”
Katarina: “I love the name Kat, you can call me anything but a bitch! I just wanted to come over here because I seen you ladies cheering and it made me sad because I wish that me and my daughter had a relationship like you guys have with her.”
Olivia: “Aw…” She looks back and forth between Katarina and Valentina.
Valentina: “Mom we really don’t have to get into all that tonight. It’s supposed to be fun.”
Serena: “Yeah, I think we should turn up Bongos and go for it!”
Katarina: “Val you don’t LOVE me! You would rather pick me a man who cheated on you while you were pregnant with Cali!
Monsè gasps; we get a shot of some of the ‘Wives shocked.
Yvonne: “Woah, woah, woah!”
Katarina: “I’ve tried to keep that a secret to protect you but clearly you don’t care about your mother!” She looks at Valentina and frowns.
Monsè: “Whew… not mama airing out her own daughter.”
Olivia: “Oh — wow, Kat that wasn’t the best thing to say…”
Valentina: “Wait a damn minute WHAT THE FUCK?” Her jaw drops.
“I am very uncomfortable right now. All of a sudden, Katarina just blurted out this random information as a plea for her daughter. With all due, that is not the way to start a path to healing.”
Brandon has now come over, hearing the commotion.
Valentina: “Brandon, is this true? My mother is saying you cheated on me when I was pregnant with Cali! There’s no — ”
Brandon stands there with his eyes wide and Valentina’s face drops.
Katarina: “Of course it’s true. I saw him and the girl he was with, with my own two eyes leaving your house back In Miami.” She scoffs.
Violette: “My God…this is sad.” She covers her mouth.
Katarina: “Why do you think he was quick to move you guys to Beverly Beach to start this ‘new life’ it’s all a front Valentina.”
Valentina: “BRANDON ANSWER ME RIGHT FUCKING NOW. Is this true?!”
Along with Valentina, the entire table looks at Brandon for his answer.
Brandon: “There’s some truth to it, yes Val.”
Monsè: “Oh my God!” She gets up.
Serena: “Brandon…” She gets up and sits beside Valentina to console her.
Yvonne: “I don’t think we should be doing this here.”
The camera pans to Valentina who is now sobbing into her hands as Serena and Monsè rub her back and embrace her.
“I have no words. I’m absolutely humiliated, destroyed, and devasted. I feel betrayed by my own family right now.”
The camera pans to Olivia and Brandon who watch the scene.
Olivia: “This isn’t good…go get the car already.” She shakes her head.
Violette: “Oh Jeez!” She makes a face. “This is so embarrassing for her right now…”
Valentina: “You girls have been wanting to see my reality where here it fucking is. I hope this is great for you all to see. I’m absolutely sick right now.” She sobs.
Serena: “Val, I’m so sorry.”
Monsè: “Babe, you’re going to get through this.”
“This is MESSY, even for our group of ladies. I feel so bad for Val. We’ve all heard rumors but… he’s Brandon Armani, of course people are going to make stuff up. But coming from Katarina… It’s not good, not good at all.”
Olivia: “I’m sorry Val, no one deserves to be cheated on.” She sighs.
Valentina stands and sobs on family members as some come over to see what went on.
Valentina: “I just need to get away right now. Ladies and production I need the cameras to shut down now. This is my real life my kids are going to see this one day.” She now sobs into Aleko’s arms.
Serena: “Michael, I think I’m going to stay here with Val tonight. You can leave and just come back tomorrow.”
Yvonne looks at Valentina and shakes her head.
“This is definitely not where I expected the year to end. Just when I thought the rollercoaster was over, Katarina put us right back on the peak of the ride- I hope Valentina knows we are all here for her and this is the time to really rally as a sisterhood.”
There is a shot of Katarina as she quietly gets up and smooths out her dress.
Katarina: “It’s best you hear it from your mother than some complete stranger Valentina. You should be happy I didn’t take it to the blogs.”
Brandon: “Katarina can you shut your damn mouth for once. You know that’s why I haven’t wanted to be around you. I deal with the guilt of it everyday.”
Katarina grabs her clutch and begins to head out of the party. We get a shot of the remaining ‘Wives in shock as the scene fades.
The scene begins off silent. We then begin to hear waves crashing on the shore. The shot now lands on the Armani Mansion in Pearl Cove.
There is a doorbell ring; Valentina is seen getting out of her bed and heading to go get the door.
“I am at a complete loss of words at how fast my life has gone from perfect to shambles in a matter of hours. I have been so sick I can’t even believe this. I kicked Brandon out of my house, I had to get the cops involved…”
There are now shots of Valentina’s kitchen that has shattered glass on the marble floor. A dented pot sits in the corner.
“I just don’t know how we got here.” She tears up. “I gave this man everything of me. He wanted me to be a housewife. I was a housewife. He wanted me on the road with him, I was on the road. He wanted kids, I gave him kids. What did I do wrong?”
Valentina makes it to her front door and opens it, revealing her mother Katarina.
Katarina: “Hi Doll.” She gives Valentina a hug. “It’s going to be okay.”
Valentina sniffles and leads Katarina into the kitchen. Katarina looks around at the dissary in shock.
Katarina: “Oh, honey what happened here last night?”
Valentina: “I’ll get to why the house is a wreck in a minute…” She pulls out a bottle of wine from the fridge and pours herself a glass.
We get a shot of Katarina looking at her daughter in disbelief.
Katarina: “Valentina! It’s 10 o’clock in the morning.”
Valentina ignores her mother and takes a sip of her wine.
Valentina: “Mom, let’s have a seat outside.”
The camera follows Valentina and Katarina as they walk out to the backyard. They sit down in the outdoor entertainment area.
Valentina: “I did not slept all night long. I have been a mess.” She looks to her mother.
Katarina: “Honey, you know my intention last night was not to hurt you but I couldn’t stand to continue to look at the ugly smirk on his face knowing what he did to you when you were pregnant with Cali.” She shakes her head. “As a mother I just couldn’t.” She looks at Valentina with pity.
Valentina sighs.
Valentina: “Mom, this isn’t our first time where he’s cheated on me. This is just the first time I’ve had to talk about it.” She bites her lip.
“Look — There have always been rumors about Brandon . But that’s also what comes with being a notable actor in the entertainment industry. It’s not like Brandon was out there cheating on me all the time, but there was a time period, years ago when we were first married, where he wasn’t exactly faithful and it caused alot of strain in our relationship.”
Valentina takes a gulp of wine before speaking again.
Valentina: “I really thought he was done being a cheater after Carter was born but here we are.” She sniffles. “I think it just hurts because this was brought up in front of ladies who some have my best interest and some of them couldn’t care less about whether I’m alive or dead. There’s no telling what they are saying about me now.”
Katarina: “You know honey you really don’t give these girls enough credit. I seen last night all those girls rally around you and actually try and lift you up in that moment, and be there for you.” She smiles. “Sure they may have their side conversations after the fact but that’s just females for you. We gossip sometimes. You are guilty of it too.” She shrugs.
Valentina: “I just think it’s going to be hard for me to make up with Brandon this time, especially being in this group because of how hard I’ve been on Marcie this year, you know I’ve talked about her with you a few times. I just really want my marriage to work.” She wipes tears away.
Katarina: “I’m not the judge and jury of your life but I do think you need to reevaluate what you’re in this marriage for. Are you here for love or just the lifestyle? I want to see the Valentina that I love and adore back, my sweet baby girl. Lately I feel like I haven’t seen her.” She frowns.
“Val’s father and I have spoiled our baby girl and she loves the finer things in life so I feel like she’s chosen to stay in this marriage in the past for what he can offer her instead of staying in it for the love.”
“Which — in my opinion — I don’t think Brandon is capable of showing her the love she needs. She can do so much better. Her best friend, Alekos shows her more love than Brandon ever has and I’ve seen it with my own eyes.”
Valentina: “I won’t lie I finally snapped last night. I started throwing his shit off the staircase and into the foyer. I went through the house and broke any picture frame with just us two. Let’s just say it got so bad that the police were called for a noise complaint.”
Katarina looks puzzled.
Katarina: “Oh? The police were called?”
Valentina: “I just finally broke. I had been carrying this weight of him being absent lately for so long that I just finally had it.”
Katarina: “Was there something that happened other that just a noise disturbance?” She looks concerned.
Valentina: “Mom I really don’t want to talk about it. Just know I’m okay, and Brandon is going to the stay in the Beverly Beach Hotel for a few nights so things can cool down. I’m gonna take Cali and Carter over to see him after I go pick them up from the Nanny’s.” She nods.
Katarina: “Look you’ve gotta wake up Valentina.” She leans in and looks a bit frustrated. “You are not this weak little girl you’re playing yourself out to be. You have to stand up and take power back over your life. I know it’s going to take some time but If you need it I will allow for some of your fathers trust fund money to be transferred over into your own account. Money should not be a worry for you right now. I just want you to be okay.” She grabs Valentina’s hands. “Momma is going to help you, okay?”
Valentina wipes her eyes.
Valentina: “I want my husband and I to work this but after last night I don’t know if we will ever fully repair things. If he agrees to therapy and some other things than there might be a way forward but I don’t see him taking a break from work to fix himself.” She shakes her head.
“This has been a hard year for me, both with my home life and my friendships in this group. I didn’t realize how much my personal shit was getting in the way of my friendships with the ladies, until I’m sitting here looking back at myself this year. Here I am with basically only two good friends, a husband who has treated me like shit, and a mother who basically sabotaged my marriage.”
“The house of Armani is falling down and I don’t know where I go with my life from here. For once I am lost and don’t know what to do.” She starts tearing up. “Did I do the right thing by doing this show? Did this show destroy our marriage? I hope it’s salvable but I really don’t know how to fix this situation.”
Valentina: “Mom can you go get the kids from the nanny’s while I clean up the house? I don’t want them knowing anything happened here. They are still kids and deserve to live life as kids.” She gets up.
Katarina nods, grabs her purse, and hugs Valentina.
Katarina: “Everything is going to be okay. I will go get the kids. Maybe see if Monsè will come over and help you clean up.”
Valentina: “I don’t want to involve any of my friends in this. This is my mess and I must clean it up this time.” She sighs. “Thanks again for being here for me.”
The episode ends with a shot of the ocean as Valentina and Katarina walks back inside.
